# Automatic shutdown feature

### Criteria for automatic shutdown

* Automatic shutdown is determined **based on the last chat input time** in the consultation session.
* You can set the auto shutdown target using **Auto End Only For Agent**.
* Automatic shutdown is only applied **in the Chatting state**. (It does not work when the state is AutoResponse, Chat Request, or Chat End.)

### Automatic shutdown time setting

* It operates in units of time.

### Automatic shutdown exception setting

* There is a button that can limit automatic shutdown for each session.

### Check if automatic shutdown is enabled

* If the Is Auto End field of a Chat Session is true, it is a Chat Session that was terminated by automatic shutdown.

### **Precautions**

* In Salesforce, the time check for Chat Sessions is conducted **in 15-minute intervals**.
* In other words, a Chat Session that has been open for over an hour at 16 minutes will be automatically terminated at 30 minutes.
* **If you do not set up an automatic response, it will not work.**
* **The automatic shutdown feature will not work if you do not set up a schedule.**

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you use a version earlier than **2.16.0.4**, Auto End will not work properly.

Please make sure to use the latest version.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.windmillsoft.kr/en/simplychat/salesforce-setup-guides/automatic-shutdown-feature.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
